Our Mission

Our centre endeavors to provide the highest quality child care to your children. All of our staff are Licensed Educators and professional. We strive to provide a loving environment where your children can participate in early childhood development and the Splatsin Language and Culture. Our centre is open from September to June of each year. We are closed once a month for Pro-D Days (same as School District 83). We have two field trips a year where parent participation is mandatory. These are: Sunflower Picnic - first week of May (for all children enrolled in our centre) and the Salmon Release Trip (last week of May or first week of June) for the Salmon Program only. Throughout the year - we do enhanced programming which includes: Splatsin Language and Culture with our Splatsin grandmothers, Music with Murray, Swim Program, Field Trips to the Pumpkin Patch, National Aboriginal Day, Veteran's Day, Earth Day, etc. These are provided at no extra cost to parents. We also offer nutrition and healthy food as part of your child's program with us. We have a breakfast, hot lunch and afternoon snack that are based on the Canada Food Guide and diabetic awareness. Parents are also welcome to send lunches with their children if they have particular eating habits. We observe food allergies and have a 'zero peanut' policy at our centre. We ask that parents do not send any snacks to our centre that may contain peanuts. If you have any questions about our child care programs - please contact our centre.
